Playable Archetypes and Application

2. Give us a summary (2-3 paragraphs) of your character. Please include a concept of his/her personality, and which family he/she belongs to. Please detail a little about their history and how their life was like growing up in their family. If you’re applying for an Arcane Protector or a Leopold Hunter, please detail how they were trained, and why they were chosen to hunt the Arcanists. If you are adopting a character, please indicate here which one you desire and give your perspective of them. Adoptables can be changed a little bit, unless indicated. The only two adoptables unable to be changed [pb-wise and history] are Elias Abrams and Leigh Abrams.

“Hunt them down and show no mercy. That is your purpose, Hunter.” Kyrian grew up fast, knowing his purpose. The young man was part of the order all his life, always trying to be one of the best of his breeding. His older sister disappeared, his family broken down into something other than a grieving part, already convinced that Zari was dead. Kyrian, Ky for short, went another route. He refused to allow something swallow him whole -- why give sadness that power? His Father was apart of the Order, why not make him realize that he still had a son in the flesh. Kyrian always felt like he was always in the back shadows compared to his sisters memory. That was the fuel that started the fire.

But you always need a match to light it. It was his eleventh year when Kyrian went into the order. It didn’t matter what his objective of his studies. Ky always pushed himself to excel if not at the top of his class then second. He refused to come in at any other level: First or Second, if it didn’t happen -- The hardened teenager would push himself to sickness to get it done to his satisfaction. Kyrian never allowed anyone to push him down -- Push him around, never happened. The young boy lashed out in such a way that he was sometimes referred to as being something venomous, like a snake. Though, one thing that Kyrian loved more than anything having to do with his studies: strike out on others weaknesses and force them to realize that it was going to be their downfall if they didn’t straighten up. By the time of his graduation from The Edict, Kyrian had grown to become in the top four of his class. His bite was bad. His bark? Worse every time someone pushed him. His personality wasn’t recognizable during the years that he had spent outside of the HQ once he was turned away to pursue what he had been trained for. Hunting down those families and taking one of them -- One gone, another purpose would come and he’d carry the soul-bound promise out.

Kyrian’s mission was simple: wait for the target and kill it on sight. As if he had been trained for Military training within the realm of the humans, sniper instincts on high alert. Though, he didn’t expect his target to be the woman that had been standing side by side in the Law Offices. Internship wasn’t easy but to his target on the Adelina Kroman wasn’t as simple as it could be -- as he was taught. Kyrian had killed before, it was evident by the circular tattoos on his right wrist. The number: 23. The 24th was already starting to bury herself underneath his skin. Oh, he was never trained on this.

3. While we are focused on role-playing, we also develop many personal OOC friendships in this group as well. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What are your previous experiences role-playing? Uh, I've role-played on and off for the last decade. Been around and I already have a character in this storyline. I'm Kat and I'm incredibly tired at the moment but since I've promised Mina for this character, I'm diving head first into it!

Vance was adopted into the Leopold Hunters after a rogue Necromancer took his parents for guinea pigs and a Hunter was lost bringing the arcanist to justice. His determination and diligence in his pursuit of the Hunt cost him a degree of social graces, leaving him somewhat aloof and socially awkward. His loathing of Necromancers grew to include the spawn they created, and then all undead; vampires would be no acception.
Early training encompassed basic physical fitness and stratagem for a life as a Hunter, growing to include weapons training and Economy of Motion stratagem, ambush tactics, and LINE combative maneuvers. Training against supernatural enemies consisted of vampiric weaknesses, and mental conditioning to aid him against illusions as best as a non-magic user might be able.
Then he was sent to Louisiana to get his teeth cut in areas where folks went missing in the swamps and were just never found. The isolation suited him well enough, but the Chruch feared the isolation and obsessive focus on the Hunt would do him in, Vance was sent to Seatle, and given a position as a line cook in a diner so that he would be forced to be in a city with enough people that he would not lose his Humanity in the fight to save humanity.

I've been playing for a long time, from men to women to pets to golems. I tend to do a lot of research to make sure the details of my play is as accurate and logic-based as possible. I've RPed in military SLs, College SLs, supernatural SLs from comic book to Anita Blake based...guess I've just been at this enough to have seen a lot.

It was another day in the soupy, rainy mess that made up the all-too-humid air. It made his skin feel oily and itch slightly under his canvas jacket. As he entered the diner, he hung his jacket on a coat hook, head down until the waitress offered him a sympathy-ridden greeting. Tired and slightly bitter eyes rose to meet hers. Vance's face looked like it'd been weeks since he slept. "Evening, Janice. Folks are going back to college soon, so we might do some good business." Even as he said it, he felt like it sounded artificial. It got a nod from the seasoned, wrinkled waitress with the coke-bottle glasses.
His apron was put on and tied, then the grill was fired up. He lifted the knife to begin cutting lettuce for the California-style burgers, feeling the comfortable weight of the blade in his hand. Motions of the blade along the block were skilled, pulling as he pressed down to allow the blade's sharpness to do some of the work. Eyes glanced through the window to the waitress as he added, "Uh...How was your weekend?"
