004: Malum Discordiae
Characters: Gavin Mitchell, Carter Mitchell, Hannah Mitchell, Alexis Lively, Lorelei Ashford, Michael Ashford, Annabella Ashford, Brayden Abrams, Leigh Abrams, Gideon Shaw, Liam Shaw, Colby Shaw, Kyra Shaw, Gabrielle Shaw.
When: October 8, 2010 - 10 PM, PDT.
Where: Seattle, WA - Azoth Estate.
Summary: For far too long, the halls of the Azoth Estate have been foreign to visitors. With the families mostly separated and wrapped within their own units, the grounds have been abandoned to the activity that it once withstood. However, in the aftermath of the parents’ disappearance, the families have all been assigned Heads to watch over their siblings in the chaos. At one Head’s suggestion, every domain’s been directed to head back to the forgotten halls at Azoth despite the insistence of some who hadn't wanted to go but was forced to after the attack on the Ashford Manor. After a narrow escape more questions are left unanswered rather than solved. Whether those that arrive late will be able to withstand the presence of the other families or not remains to be seen, but they will all have to come together before it’s too late. War offers no guaranteed protection in its embrace, yet only a crushing opposition. Will the arcanists be able to come together, or will they let old family rivalries rip them apart?

The summons to Azoth was far from welcoming to her for Gabby didn't much care for family ties as they tended to get her into more trouble then what it was worth. She finally had a job worth keeping and now she had to walk away from it all. Why? She had been summoned back to the grounds that once held nightmares that lasted months for her in them. This was not a good day and she was not in a good mood. Muttering almost to herself she stepped through the grand doors that seemed to have had better days as no one had dared to come maintain the house after the events that took place in them before.
The summons in her hand she looked around cautiously before letting herself walk in. She didn't know if her sister or rest of the family would show up. All she knew was that the handwriting of Gideon in his letter told her that she better at least check out why he was summoning the family together or she wouldn't like the outcome. Sure of not sensing danger or anything else for that matter her golden eyes settled back to brown showing that she was at least attempting to be calm. The grand entryway that once held wonder for her only held dread as she let her boots clack across the floor to the inner rooms of the house. She knew that the family had to be somewhere in here or the summons wouldn't have been issued.
Dressed in a fur lined jean jacket and black matching jeans she went about picking her way through the house, if it could be called that, to find some signs of life in this place. She could easily pass as a robber as she was dressed in all black with darker makeup on then normal. The gothic type look had been her dress ever since...well the family came together. Folding her arms across her chest she waited for someone to come up and either try to scare her or to explain to her the contents of the letter she now held in her hands. All she knew was that in the back of her mind there wasn't much time to explain what was going on for if it wasn't anything major she had a job to go back to and she wouldn't even think twice about looking back. Especially since it had to do with this place.

Leigh was on her way back to Seattle after receiving a letter telling her she needed to return to the Azoth Estate. She had forgotten about the estate and it would have never crossed her mind if Leigh never read the note but now she was flying out to Seattle to return to the building but for what she didn’t know. The letter contain little information and over the past few years since she received her job as a traveling nurse Leigh rarely spoke to her family or friends anymore. At times she wished things were different but Leigh loved her job even though it at times kept her up at night.
Leigh looked out the plane’s window and at the ground below them, it was coming closer and closer, soon the plane ride would be over and she would continue driving to the old building. Leigh just hoped she still remembered where it was at but thankfully there was technology these days and GPS was a great help. After grabbing her few suitcase of clothes and make-up that would last the next few days, Leigh made her way out of the airport and to her rental car. It was a clear blue day; the shades were put on only to compliment the rest of Liegh’s outfit. She loved to wear whatever was in fashion even if at times it was uncomfortable.
Bags were placed in the back of her tiny dusty blue car and Leigh jumped into the driver’s seat ready to make the last few miles of her journey to the Azoth Estate. Luckily she still remembered the way to the Estate but not without complications. There were many wrong turns, confusion and road rage involved during the drive but none the less Leigh made it there, a little angrier than before.
Leigh left her bags where they were. Hopefully her visit would be short, she would head over to a nice hotel and then shortly be back working again. However Leigh would soon find out her visit to the old building would be much longer then she expected and would soon receive news that she wasn’t prepared for.

Re: 004: Malum Discordiae
-: Colby had found his cousin's insistence on not needing help, excessive. Perhaps a sign that his father's past was well known amongst the center of the family. But whether or not, he'd be consider much too much like Isaac, was something that the young Transmuter was hardly going to give concern to. He'd rather show he wasn't. Rather show, that his father had changed too..
And that the young man he helped raise was a good man. Which was why there wasn't any protest to coming to Azoth Manor. In fact, he had left Palo Alto in haste laden pace. Altogether denying all his desires to see California's golden coasts, to party and gamble well making full use of his abilities. Which got him to the 'safety' of the manor earlier than his cousins.
In fact, the place had nearly been empty when he arrived. Nervously Colby hadn't wanted to breech the 'sanctum'. In fact, the light brown haired, lean and scrawny young man, seemed to have far more interest in pretending like there was something in the vintage yellow and black striped American car of his. Like it might reveal some secret knowledge, might relieve some of the building tension.
Nearly a full hour had been spent like that, before he gathered what few belongings he had tunneled away from England, and had gathered along the road from Boston to Seattle. With them in hand, he had made his way into the estate. To find, it had been empty. Not a person in sight. Not a sound to be made. Yet, dust hadn't gathered anywhere. It was beyond eerie, and after a bit of exploration, had declared room number six his own. It had the right combination of furniture and lack of furniture to be comfortable.
Which was about the time, that he finally heard the doors creaking open. Someone was else was here. Long strides carried him toward the foyer, arms leaning against the banister as first one rather gorgeous woman(Gabrielle) and then another (Leigh). A wide grin spread across his lips, catching from ear to ear...and reaching those bright blue eyes.
For a second, he said nothing as he studied them, trying to see if he could recognize what was their magical aptitude. Before finally, English accent broke the silence of the air... "Why, 'Ello there.." A slight wave, from that somewhat handsome man, whose smile was entirely fitting upon his countenance.
